Notice of winterization of the Maribee Acres water system

The irrigation system will be shut off for the winter by the Yakima Tieton Irrigation District on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. We will winterize the Maribee Acres system using compressed air on Saturday, October 17, 2026, beginning at 9 am until around noon.

How to prepare

1. If you cannot be home on October 17, it is important that you have someone available to take care of your system.
2. Wait for your turn. A representative from Maribee Acres will let you know when it is your turn to winterize your system.
3. Close all valves until it is your turn. The air compressor does not have adequate capacity to winterize all lots simultaneously.
4. When it is your turn, open one sprinkler circuit or hose bib at a time.
5. When you have finished, open all drain valves and close your main shut-off valve. This will prevent water from other parts of the system from entering your system at a later time.
